Impressions of A Shodha Yatri
9th Chinna Shodha yatra
20-22 December, from Nizampet to narayankhed, Dist medak

This is my first chinna shodha yatra. I came to know about this yatra from our college guidance and I am very thankful for my college. I had no idea about what we are going to do in this yatra, I have come in this yatra to learn. Later on we came to know that we need to walk from one village to another and we need to cover 52kms in three days and sir has said that we need to learn about 4 important guru's in our life. i.e. Nature, villagers, co yatris, and ourselves.

Firstly when we had reached Nizampet, we saw a potter preparing a pot. It was first time in my life, I saw a potter making a pot. Then after we have reached a govt. school, there we had a very good interaction with children. When brig. sir have asked children to write any innovative ideas which they get. Children participated there with a great enthusiasm and interest. Some of them wrote about new ideas and some about their problems and some about social issues etc. After my great interactions with children we went and met with villagers and had great interaction with them. This was my first going to any village and spending time there. Palle srujana had gave us all the freedom to roam all over the village and speak to villagers. When we visited there place, the hospitality which they have shown to us was wonderful. When we were walking on the roads all the villagers used to come to us and asked the reason why we were in that place? This yatra helps the villagers to come out of the thought that they know nothing and some should help them. This yatra tries to ignite the spirit in villagers that they can be self dependent as they were before. Villagers offered us their house to take bath and they were offering tea. When we were giving vote of thanks to them, they were replying that " when our children go to other place, even someone will help us.Tthat’s the noble thought they have with them. I have learnt a lot many things from the nature. The actual nature we only find in villages. I have learnt a lot from my co-yatris, Everyone has something great about themselves and some of them gave me guidance about my future. I had learnt a lot from villagers and I have learnt a lot from me, cause I was not sure that I could walk 52kms, but I did it. This is all possible only because of brig. sir. He was only inspiration, role model during this yatra. He is 65yrs old but instead he walks continuously without taking any rest. Whenever I felt tried, I used to see brig. sir he used to keep on walking, Brig. sir taught me many things. This yatra made me to think about others, before i was concerned only about myself but now it had broadened my way of thinking. This is my first NGO. For the first time in my life I am seeing a person who is working for the welfare of the society. I had a great experience from this yatra; I don’t have any more words to say about this yatra. I thank a lot Palle srujana for making me a yatri in this yatra.
